About

Hi, my name is Olga. I have a degree in Applied Mathematics-Economics, and I am highly interested in Data Analysis and Finance. I live in Santa Monica, California. I love to travel and meet new people.

This blog will feature a variety of topics. They will range from data analysis technologies to financial and risk modeling. The idea of the blog as you can see from its name is to TURN NUMBERS INTO ACTIONS and find the logic behind numbers in order to make informed decisions that can be applied to a wide range of businesses.

  1. Hi Olga,

I recently came across your LinkedIn while I was looking for data scientists doing interesting work in the digital music industry.

My name is Jonathan and I just graduated from Cornell University with a degree in computer science. I’m really interested in the intersection between data science and music and would love to learn more about related work in industry.

If you have time for a quick phone call sometime this week (or next), I would love to hear more about your experiences as a data scientist at UMG, any suggestions for getting into related work and projects, and career advice.

    Thanks!

    Best,
    Jonathan Lee

  2. Hi Olga,

I hope this note finds you well. You have some very impressive leadership experience in the Data Science realm and I’m hoping you may be able to assist:

I’m working with the SVP/Head of BI/Analytics of a favorite client of mine in the LA area (one of the largest private-money lenders in the US with 10x growth over the last 5 years) who is looking for a Data Science Director/VP to lead a team that will build statistical models and algorithms to solve business problems across finance, sales/marketing and operations. This position has tremendous internal/external visibility, incredible earning and growth potential, and will lead a team of 2+.

Please let me know if you or anyone in your network would be interested in learning more- we are scheduling interviews with the SVP this/next week. Your response either way is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    David Igleheart
